Black and white illustrations throughout with colour frontispiece. Severe cracking to hinges and gutters causing boards to be loose. Pages remain attached. Pages and illustrations have light tanning and foxing throughout. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with bumping to corners, crushing to spine ends and rub wear all over. Light tanning to spine and edges. Water staining to rear board. Wear marks overall.

Pages remain clear with minimal tanning and foxing, mild to end-papers and text-block edges. Previous owner's inscription to front free end-paper. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Spine cloth creased.
