Beautiful copy of Irvine's profusely photographed Books For Young Readers account of two of the featured Big Cat attractions in the San Diego Zoo: Blanca, a white tiger originally seized from a smuggler at the Mexican border, and Arusha the cheetah, a long-term resident of the zoo. Plenty of information on the species accompanies an account of their lives at the zoo with their handlers/caretakers. Boldy signed by Irvine in violet ink: "Big Cats Forever ! All children deserve to inherit an earth rich in wildife Warm wishes, Georgeanne Irvine", with no presentee's name. Scarce as a signed, fine, unclipped first edition. L53n
