Gilt on medium green cloth covers. Edges are fine. Corners and spine ends are just touched with wear. Four of the preliminary pages have on-topic newspaper items pasted on them: a "Bee Story" from 1885, and "Taking Bees to Blossoms": Other than these pages, the title page and the text and interior of the book are all in good condition. 169 pages including Notes, and iv pages of Putnam's book Notices. All about beekeeping, as it was practiced in the 19th Century. Rare. No other 1879 copies on-line at the time this book was uploaded.
