Slight wear, still fine in very good dust jacket with a lightly sunned spine, shallow chipping to spine tips, minor rubbing and a one-half by three-quarter inch chip to rear panel, in mylar cover. Housed in custom modern slipcase. Signed by the author on the title page and with two very handsome original drawings by Navaho artist Ernest Franklin, one covering the entire half-title and a portrait of Joe Leaphorn on the title-page.

Synopsis

Joe Leaphorn must stalk a supernatural killer known as the "Wolf-Witch" along a chilling trail of mysticism and murder. When Lt. Joe Leaphorn of The Navaho Tribal Police discovers a corpse with a mouth full of sand at a crime scene seemingly without tracks or clues, he is ready to suspect a supernatural killer.
