Lavish, profusely illustrated tribute book to the photographer Michael Cooper, best known for his photographs of the rock music world in the 1960s and early 1970s. With over 600 photographs by Cooper and contributions from 93 important artists, musicians, and writers of the era, including Francis Bacon, William Burroughs, Eric Clapton, Jim Dine, Allen Ginsberg, David Hockney, Mick Jagger, Paul McCartney, Keith Richards, Warhol, and many others. The edition was limited to 5000 copies (this is number 2535) each signed by a different selection of contributors. This copy is signed by: Billy Al Bengston, Peter Blake, Eric Clapton, Adam Cooper, John Dunbar, Allen Jones, Craig Kaufmann, Ann Marshall, Colin Self, Andy Warhol, and Bill Wyman. Copies signed by Warhol are extremely rare: Warhol died in 1987 as the book was being assembled and only signed a handful of copies (anecdotally, perhaps as few as 20).
