New York: Ballantine, 1952. First Edition. Ownership signature dated 1954. Pages tanned as usual, else a near fine copy with the faintest hint of edge wear in a very good bright lightly used dust jacket with some small shallow chips and tears. A Western novel with the front panel of the jacket showing a full color painting of a man in Western clothing standing in a doorway with a cocked gun in hand watching another armed man riding a horse heading directly toward him with a desert landscape in the background. The rear panel shows a man attempting to cross a river while steering a horse drawn wagon while being pursued by two other armed men from a trail above him.
Synopsis
The late Frank Bonham wrote a number of highly acclaimed, hard-hitting YA novels in the early 1960s.
