This is the preferred second edition, much enlarged from the first. Rebound in 3/4 dark green buckram and a brown title label and bright gilt letters on the spine. Inside, very clean and tight with no stains or foxing or browning. Intended for the expatriate community of Shanghai, a cultural and hunting guide to the Yangtze Valley. It includes chapters from "valued contributors on houseboats, Chinese methods of trapping and hunting, topography, houseboats and yachting. After page 108 a revised list of yachts at the Shanghai Club is tipped in. An handsome copy. A table of distances at the end has Chinese as well as English place names..
