A & C Black,, 1904. 8vo., First Edition, with coloured frontispiece (original captioned tissue guard present), title in red and black, and 74 fine coloured plates (all original captioned tissue guards present); blue pictorial cloth, upper board and backstrip blocked and lettered in gilt and colours, gilt top, uncut, a near fine copy. With 4pp publisher's catalogue bound in at end. A popular title in the 20s series, it was many times reissued in various states but never as splendidly as in this original edition. VERY SCARCE IN THIS CONDITION. Inman 71.
