Executed in a small accordion-style Moleskin notebook. 32 panes with the original collages on the rectos and inspirational texts about collages from various sources on the versos. Last panel is blank but for the artist's signature and date, Slight curves to a couple of the top joining edge but a charming piece.Jan Janeiro has been an artist her entire life. She received her MFA at Lone Mountain College, San Francisco & Fiberworks, Berkeley. She was Professor and Chair of Textile Arts Department School of Fine Arts, California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland, CA. Her career has advanced steadily and she has received such honors as being Artist in Residence at Colorado State University and at the Mendocino Art Center. She was appointed a US State Department Specialist to Latin America and she has received a Visual Arts fellowship grant by the NEA and a grant from the Alliance of Independent Colleges. Since 1993 she has lived and worked with her ceramicist husband Irv Janeiro in Arroyo Seco, New Mexico. She continues to specialize in these collage and text artworks.
