The Book of Ballads contains a number of poems, songs, and verses from around the world, including Spanish ballads, American ballads, Gaelic ballads, German ballads, and more. The thirteenth edition of this work.Edited by Bon Gaultier, a pen name that was assumed by the writers William Edmondstoune Aytoun and Sir Theodore Martin. Containing numerous vignette illustrations by Doyle, Leech, and Crowquill. Containing two leaves of publisher's adverts to the front of the work. In the publisher's original decorative cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just some light bumping to the head and tail of the spine and extremities, and darkening to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Some age-toning to the first and last few pages, otherwise pages are generally bright and clean throughout. Very Good
