' The Book of Birds - Common Birds of Town and Country and American Game Birds', by Henry W. Henshaw.250 color Illustrations by Louis Agassiz Fuertes. Also, maps and black and white photographs. Washington, DC: National Geographic Society, 1921. Quarto, brown cloth boards, black imprinting on front cover and spine, 195 pp. An exceptionally strong Very Good, not too far from Near Fine. Spine ends and corners just touched, very minimal age toning to the glossy paper of the pages; rear cover shows an L-shaped discoloration, not a stain, and a bump at the top edge. See all scans. The rather famously impressive work of scholarship by author Henshaw, and of course the timeless color illustrative work of Louis Agassiz Fuertes. Shipsin stout protection, of course. Superior condition for this vintage ornithological piece.. L-16.
