Bound in full leather with five raised bands, embossed cover decorations and beveled edges. Marbled endpapers, all edges gilt. Printed by J. E. Adlard, London. The first edition from this publisher was in 1853; this copy is not dated apart from the prior owner inscription. Heavy, extra for international shipping. ; 7-3/4" x 10-1/4"; vi, 441 pp; Boards worn at spine and hinges with some rubbing elsewhere, hinges solid, scattered foxing to pages, prior owner inscription on front flyleaf dated 1864, pages free of tears or additonal writing. .

U.S. BUYERS. Standard -- Most orders can be shipped by USPS Media Mail within the continental U.S. for the standard charge regardless of weight. Expedited -- Items which fit in the Flat Rate Envelope (about 6" x 9") can usually be sent by Priority Mail for $10.00; in that case we will automatically reduce the shipping charge for an expedited order when the order is processed. Items which fit in one of the Medium Flat Rate Boxes can ship for the standard expedited charge, regardless of weight.
