New York: Printed for the New-York Bible and Common Prayer Book Society by Messrs. Eyre and Spottiswoode, [1868]. Leather_bound. Very Good +. 2 7/8 x 4 inches. 480 pages. Pages bright and clean and free from marking, soiling and staining. Old ownership inscription to ffep. Title page possibly a cancel, though consistent with Griffiths 1868/14. Bound in full black pebble grained morocco with gilt "IHC" in central lozenge on front cover and gilt "Common Prayer" to spine. Spine with four false raised bands. Gilt dentelles. Yellow metal clasp present and working. Covers lightly bumped at corners. A very nice copy of the Civil War era American Prayer Book with a nicely preserved contemporary leather binding with clasp
