First edition, first printing, first issue with "Bouverie St" on the illustrated title page; with the farmyard frontispiece. xl, 1112 pp. Complete with 12 color plates. Bound in recent purple cloth with black leather backstrip lettered in gilt, new endpapers. Very Good with foxing to endpapers, occasionally to plates, toning along edges. A lovely copy of the Victorian age's domestic bible.
