[xii]+276(last blank), frontispiece with tissue guard, plus 3 plates, full page table, the title page printed in red & black, decorative headpieces and initials, index; roy. 8vo; qr. beige buckram, spine lettered in dull gilt, light blue/grey papered boards, slightly faded and browned, with large damp stain at head of boards and small damp stain at bottom edge of lower board; uncut; bookplate of Harry C. Renkin, and later book label of David Levine, Sydney, on the upper pastedown, which is also very slightly silverfished, light damp stain to top edge only of endpapers, hinges starting at a couple of points, a little light offsetting; Philip Allan & Co., London, 1922. Second edition, revised; one of 500 copies thus (total edition 550). *Previously from the library of Australian bookseller and bibliophile Harry Muir, with his small inked note about the book loosely inserted, but no ownership marks.
