Edge and corner wear with some rubbing on the panels and darkening in the endpapers; no interior markings. The full title is: BOOK PRICES CURRENT: Record of the Prices at Which Books Have Been Sold at Auction from October 1898 to July 1899 Being the Season 1898 - 1899 - Volume (13) (xiii) Thirteen. It's quite fascinating to see what books went for in the late 1800s, books that would go for a healthy price now, for instance, Thomas Hardy's Tess of the D'Urbervilles, the three volume first, a presentation set from Hardy to William Morris sold for four pounds, eight shillings; or, The Claims of Decorative Art by Walter Crane, a presentation copy to William Morris, two pounds, nineteen shillings. The list goes on for over 7000 listings, followed by an index..
