Reprinted from the original edition and edited by Leonard C. Smithers. Illustrated with a series of seventy-one original illustrations reproduced from the original pictures in oils specially painted by Albert Letchford. The Book of the Thousand Nights and a Night [Arabian Nights]. Printed by the Kamashastra Society for Private Subscribers only. The Kamashastra Library Edition. Quarto. All volumes uniformly half-bound in richly textured red leather. Raised bands with gilt lettering and decoration on spines. Green cloth covered boards. Some rubbing and wear to boards and spines with mild fading to spines. Some moisture damage, mainly affecting fore-edges of boards, with mild impact upon internal content. Top edges gilt with other edges uncut. Contains b/w illustrated plates throughout all volumes with annotated tissue-guards. Pages are generally clean internally.
