Louis Giraud.Illustrated with full colour endpapers, with a further colour frontispiece and title page, and five impressive full colour double-page pop up plates, depicting scenes including a large Christmas pudding, the tower of London, and a parrot and a monkey. Collated, complete. Still with the protective slip for the Tower of London. Consisting of twelve short stories, and six brief verses.Undated; dated c1950 via Jisc.A charming of a mid twentieth century pop-up work. In the publisher's original pictorial paper covered boards. Bumping to back strip head and tail, otherwise externally excellent. Internally, firmly bound. Pages lightly age toned. Spotting to title page, with pages otherwise generally clean. Five pop up plates, with one plate containing two small closed tears to folding segment, and another plate with a discreet tape repair. Very Good
