About This Item

NY: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1992. SIGNED. 1st/1st. Like New - Unread. First edition, first printing with complete number line ending in 1. This unread book is tight and square with sharp corners and clean unmarred boards. Textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate, or marks and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. Dust jacket is unclipped ($19.95) with mild yellowing to bottom and top of flaps, otherwise bright, crisp, and Fine. INSCRIBED to an associate in Denver on the half-title page. Protected in a Brodart Mylar cover.

"To Stephanie
Who got this started in Denver.
Keep your chin up.
Best, John Dunning 1-30-92."

Stephanie was the organizer of a lecture in Denver on "Publishing Wars" and Dunning was the featured speaker. The salon was scheduled months in advance but not for a book signing. Serendipity granted that it fell within a few days of publication of "Booked to Die". Dunning's inscription references this fortunate coincidence. Denver, of course, is John Dunning's hometown and the setting for "Booked to Die."
