Rubber-stamped on the verso of one still is the contact information for Jerry Ohlinger's Movie Material Store, located in New York, along with an ink notation ("BOXCAR BERTHA").

Scorsese's second credit as a feature director, based on the fictionalized autobiography of Bertha Thompson, set in the American South in the 1930s, during the Great Depression.

Set in the American South, shot on location in Arkansas.

Los Angeles: American International Pictures [AIP], 1972. Vintage studio still photograph from the 1972 film. Based on Ben L. Reitman's 1937 autobiography of "Boxcar Bertha" and her lover Big Bill Shelly, two early twentieth century train robbers who gradually became involved in the plight of railway workers in the American South. Director Martin Scorsese's second feature film. Shot on location in Camden and Reader, Arkansas. 10 x 8 inches. Very Good plus, with a small hole to the bottom right corner, and a short closed tear to the top left corner.
