Ralphson was one of the first scout masters in the rather short-lived American Boy Scouts (not to be confused with the Boy Scouts of America) founded by Randolph Hearst and differing from the BSA in its emphasis on preparing the young boys for military service. Remington Arms even created an official American Boy Scouts rifle. 255 pp. plus 3 pp advertisements. Orange and white illustrated endpapers.
