Limited edition no. 28 of 250 copies on hand-made paper. 382, (2)pp 8 inches tall. Vellum spine to smooth leather boards. Four raised bands with paste on leather spine title. Leather partially lacking - restored without lettering. External wear to boards. Upper spine band restored. Textblock deckled. Text clean though toned. Bindings very tight. Tissue-guarded frontispiece of Norwegian Fiord. Brand is a priest who accepts the consequence of his choices, and is deeply bound to doing the "right thing".
Henrik Johan Ibsen was a Norwegian playwright and theatre director. As one of the founders of modernism in theatre, Ibsen is often referred to as "the father of realism" and one of the most influential playwrights of his time.
