About This Item
Classic indictment of the press as am instrument of big business. The brass check was a token paid to prostitutes, in this case the press. Publishing history listed on back of title page lists all the editions since the first in 1920; the last--presumably this one--indicates that it's the Tenth Edition, April 1931, 1,100 cloth copies. Title page indicates that it's a revised edition with index. Tight, no marks other than owner's lightly penciled purchase info.
