About This Item
New York: Harper & Bros, 1958. Huxley's here revisits the premises of his iconic dystopian - and prophetic - novel: this "is not fiction. It is a shocking, yet calm, estimate of what has been done, what is being done and what may very soon be done to turn men into compliant robots." This is a Near Fine copy of the First Edition (stated). Blue paper-covered boards with a black cloth spine with bright blue and gilt filling. Clean text; 147 pages. Previous-owner signature on the FFEP. Just a hint of fade around the margins; else a Fine copy. The dustjacket is Very Good. Unclipped, it shows edgewear around the margins and some darkening of the spine. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good.
