Black & white frontispiece, and five b&w plates by W. Rainey (one having come loose, but present). Boards show edge-rubbing, some soiling (more so to rear board) and scuffing. Previous owner's name on front free endpaper. Some psotting to pages. Binding a bit stressed but contents tight (excep for detached plate, as noted). Overall, a fair to good copy. Illustration of Peterborough astride cannon barrel on front board; musketman illustration on spine.

Neat, clean, well bound pages with very minimal foxing, tanning and thumbing. Small inscriptions and neat labels may be present. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and sunning.
