Originally published in 1890, this novel was intended by Balch to be the first of a series of novels based in the "Oregon country," but Balch died of tuberculosis in 1891. The book is clean and tight, with a bright decorated binding, well protected by the lightly soiled dust jacket that has several relatively small chips along the edges.. 28th Edition. Hardcover.
