This is a comprehensive history of Maryland in the War of 1812. All events leading up to the declaration of War with Great Britain are included. Plus chapters with much detail that deal with various battles such as: Havre de Grace, Baltimore, Washington, North Point, Bladensburg and Frenchtown. However, the bulk of this work (over 300 pages) is an exhaustive register of 11,000 Marylanders who served in the War. The names of the soldiers, sailors, and citizens are arranged alphabetically with references to rank, company, regiment, and occasionally additional information.
