Berkeley, CA: Cody's Books, 1976. First Printing. Single Sheet. Very Fine. An oblong broadside-poster (22"x11&1/2") announcing a reading of eight poets at Cody's Books, the venerable venue in Berkeley, California which nurtured & witnessed the San Francisco Renaissance, Beat Generation & beyond poets & movements from 1956 through its closing in 2008. The event took place on November 24, 1976 & featured Robert Duncan, a giant of American poetry associated with the Black Mountain School, the Beats & the SFR; & Michael McClure, another most major Beat-&-Beyond poet & playwright. A beautiful production printed by W. B. Tanner, & an outstandingly rare piece of Duncan, McClure & co.-related ephemera. In very fine condition with only some very short, faint creases along surface. Currently mounted on stiff board, in protective shrinkwrap. Will be shipped carefully rolled in a tube.
