Orig. published in 1929, this is the Apr. 1932 reprint of the June 1941 "Katherine Cornell edition,'' so called because of the addition of a Preface by Cornell, who played Elizabeth Barrett Browning on the stage in the play, "The Brownings of Wimpole Street." In 289 pages with 7 full-page illustrations throughout, including frontispiece. Hardcover has light brown cloth-covered boards with darker brown lettering/decoration to front & spine. Condition is VG: slightly bumped corners, pages mildly tanned (heavier on all endpapers). Tight & square binding: NO writing, underlining, or highlighting; NOT ex-lib. Unclipped DJ (with orig. $3.75 price) is downgraded to only Fair due to much chipping, creasing, & rubbing to extremities.
