Rutland, Vermont USA: The Tuttle Company, 1934. First edition, 1934, with a personalized inscription signed by the author on the front free endpaper. Author illustrated with numerous black and white woodcut engravings. Depicting true-to-life characters (with alias names) from early twentieth century Bedford Center, Massachusetts. Royal blue cloth with blindstamp on silver gilt cover lettering and illustration, frontispiece, 212 pages, illustrated dustjacket. The book is in good condition, slightly surface rubbed with faded extreme edges, sound text block, good hinges, clean pages with no names or other markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not corner clipped and is also in good condition with chipped spione ends and corners, minor additional edgewear. . Inscribed by The Author. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good/Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
