This is No. 240 and is *unsigned*, contrary to the limitation statement. Dark blue cloth with paper title label on spine, top edge gilt, (v)-xiii, 476 pp, + Appendix (5 pp), Index (viii pp), 9 5/8" H. Addenda et Corrigenda sheet laid in. Thirteen tissue-covered b&w portraits, including frontispiece (collated). "The Buchanan Book" has very small bump to fore-edge of pages 405 to end of book, minor edge wear, minor rubbing to boards, light run marks to top edge gilt. "Later Leaves of the Buchanan Book" - page 6 has some small light soiling marks including a small area of red ink in margin, some page edges have wrinkles and very small chips, the top/bottom edges of text block are not trimmed, there is wrinkling/creasing to edges of covers and top/bottom of spine - there are also tiny tears, light soiling to covers.. Not Signed. Mixed: Hard Cover & Soft Cover. Very Good/No Dust Jackets.

Montreal: Printed for Private Circulation, 1911. [Canadian Legal History and Genealogy] SIGNED LIMITED EDITION. Octavo (25 x 17cm), pp.[6] xiv; 475 [3] 5 [1] viii [4]. With 13 illustrated plates, including a frontispiece portrait of the subject, each with a tissue guard. Number 126 of just 300 copies SIGNED by the author in black ink to limitation page. Publisher's navy cloth with plain paper title label to spine. Top edge gilt; others untrimmed. With a vintage Buchanan tartan postcard, some pencil genealogical notes, and a type-written letter from 1931 relating to the Buchanan Fortune hoax of that year, all loose to preliminaries. Black ink ownership to fly-leaf, and two others in pencil. Paperclip rust stain to frontis, tissue guard and title page. A contemporary 15c postage stamp to dedication page.
