First printing, near fine purple cloth hardcover shows touch of bumping to couple of corners, in a very good + dust jacket (price at flap) that shows a light bit of rubbing and soil. 253 pages including black & whites and index. Still a good looking copy of this work that examines the life of the notable 19th century writer responsible for the work "Life in London" which was turned into stage versions and "..whose Boxiana was the incomparable record of the golden age of pugilism.
