About This Item

U.S.A.: Activity Resources Company, 1984. Book. Illus. by Martha Kyzer. Fine. Trade Paperback. First Edition. Small folio, (8.5 x 11"), black decorated stapled stiff wraps. 64 pp. including materials needed, bibliography, teacher notes and glossary. Very generously illustrated throughout with diagrams and line drawings by Martha Kyzer. Although simple and easy to follow, this book is more than a beginner,s introduction to the world of R. Buckminster Fuller. It covers most of the fundamental building blocks of Synergetics, including the dome, systems, octahedrons, icosahedrons and dodecahedrons, along with the mathematics of vectors, cubes, spheres, helix and tetrahelix, and the physics of liquids, solids and rigid forms. (No to mention "Angular Topology"). Whether you are an adolescent or an adult, after close study of this slender volume, you could hold your ground with even an expert in Fuller's Synergetics. This is an excellent copy, very glossy fresh, square, crisp, stiff, flat and clean, with no rust or pulling at the staples, no creases, no stains, no damp etc. The interior is bright, clean, fresh, unmarked and possibly unread. There is an almost imperceptible bump to the top rear corner, and handful of tiny white flecks which are only perceptible in the eye of the photo close-up but are truly negligible. A surprisingly well-preserved copy of a fragile item. Virtually AS NEW. SCARCE..
