Drk red cloth binding with extensive light patchy pigment loss to back, spine ends slightly rubbed and spine dull but generally clean. xii+609+(2, pub. notices of related titles), uncut fore-edge, light tanning to endpapers with colour leaching strip from cover along top edges of paste-downs, thin split to front gutter, tanned half-title with large early sig. to top and erasable 1947-datedRangoon-located sig. to bottom, gutter opening between pp. xii/1 otherwise internally clean and unmarked but whole book feels slightly shaken. 1st ed. -1882, 2nd ed.-1896. An interesting and wide -ranging work but this is a working/reference copy only. 15 cm x 22.5 cm
