Hardcover small 8vo (5.5" x 8.25") has red paper-covered boards lettered in black in an inset title box to front cover. Condition is VG: completely clean inside with mild external soil & spotting. Closed tear to head of spine, mild rubbing to extremities. Tanning to front endpapers from folded piece of paper which has a typed poem about war of unknown authorship entitled "Why?" Binding strong & straight, pages creamy white with moderate tanning, commensurate with age & wartime paper quality.
