He is often considered as the world's first autobiographer as his writings tell alot of his life, his character, his development and way of life than any other poet. Condition: In a full vellum binding with gilt stamping detail to spine. Externally, very smart with some marks to boards. Prior owners' ink signature to recto of front endpaper, J D Daggett and to title page, A H Unwin, Florence 1896. Internally, generally firmly bound though strained in places. Pages are slightly age toned to edges with scattered spots throughout. Overall: VERY GOOD..
