London: L Upcott Gill, [1899]. Second edition (hardback). 12mo (19cm by 13cm), vii, 270pp, 2pp adverts, 16pp catalogue (with the print code 194 C 4/99). Folding frontispiece, 98 text figures. Original illustrated green cloth, gilt titling to the front board and the spine. The binding is lightly rubbed and bumped, and there is an ownership inscription; overall, this book is in good to very good condition.
