He held many prominent positions in his career; Superintendent of West Point, Secretary to General Staff of the War Department, American Expeditionary Force in Siberia in WWI, commander of the I Corps and 8th ARmy, he fought the Japanese in the Pacific, invaded Luzon, helped recapture many Philippine Islands and was a major part of Operation Coronet- the invasion of Japan. This book uses only the general's papers and tries to explain his lack of military recognition for his achievements. A clean pristine copy.
