London, Edinburgh: The Jewish Historical Society of England, 1972. First edition. Softcover. g- to g+. Quarto. xix, 365, xxiii, 363, li, 390, x, 222pp. Original gray and light green wraps with black lettering on cover and spine. The Exchequer of the Jews recorded and regulated taxes and law cases of the Jews in England. It was a division of the Court of Exchequer at Westminster operating for one hundred years until 1290, the expulsion of the Jews. Vol. 1 with light soiling on back cover, spine with cracks and few small chips. Vol. 2 with light wear along edges. Vol. 3 Sunned along edges and spine. Spine cracked and few chips along edge of front cover and spine. Vol. 4 Spine somewhat sunned. Block of first three volumes uncut at foredge. Wraps in overall good- to good+, interior in very good condition.
