All known accounts by the participants in the gold discovery are here, including variant accounts by Marshall, Bigler, Brown, and Wimmer, plus the related testimony of Capt. Sutter." Tinted title page illustration, with 12 halftone reproductions, including a map of the gold discovery, and a folding panoramic photograph at the rear. Quarto.
