Many interesting articles on California--its growth, fruit industry, Lake Tahoe region, the Baptists in California, development of the Sopuithern Mountain Railroad in Pasadena, poems, the missions, politics, plus articles on Nice, art in Japanese swords. Many old photos, one of gigantic fish caught in small boat at Catalina. In very bright and sparkling condition, considering age, with high quality paper and great photos! 854 pp. includes questions of the day and new books and much more. Long articles on the city of San Francisco, Riverside, the San Gabriel Valley, Lake Tahoe area. A wonderful book of old history, Western Americana, pictures and lore. "Wallpaper" paisley green and white endpapers. Small chip at upper left at top spine edge, else near fine.
