About This Item
Garden City, NY: Doubleday & Company. Very Good+ with no dust jacket. 1953. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on a clean sheet that has been carefully inserted and glued in between the front endpaper and half-title pages (this is our surmise at any rate - the sheet seems to be of higher quality paper than any of the others surrounding it; we do note that other signed copies have been similarly treated). First Edtion so stated. Very Good+: shows a touch of crimp to the head and heel of the backstrip; just a hint of rubbing to the corner tips; a couple of small, very faint water spots at the upper front panel; binding rolls ever so slightly but remains secure; the text is clean. Free of any creased or dog-eared pages in the text. Free of any underlining, hi-lighting or marginalia or marks in the text. Free of any ownership names, dates, addresses, notations, inscriptions, stamps, plates, or labels. A handsome copy, structurally sound and tightly bound, showing the mildest wear and minor, unobtrusive imperfections. Bright and clean. Corners sharp. Close to "As New". NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo (8.5 x 5.75 x 1.15 inches). Language: English. Weight: 17.3 ounces. Yellow cloth over boards with grey titles at the backstrip. Hardcover: Lacks DJ. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 287 pages; Signed by Author .
