About This Item

Rutland, VT: Academy Books, 1998. PB. fine, wraps (softcover). ISBN 0914960318 "The facts winnowed from the chaff: the authentic account of the swearing in of Calvin Coolidge as 30th President of the United States by his father at the Coolidge Homestead, Plymouth Notch, Vermont, August 3, 1923." The Coolidge Homestead is one of my favorite places to visit in the peaceful locale of Vermont. This book is a wonderful story by another legendary Vermonter, Vrest Orton, who I met in 1963 at his Original Vermont Country Store. 93pp.
