The story of 3 British secret agents of the SOE (Special Operations Executive) who parachuted into German-occupied France, for the purpose of subversion and sabotage, and helping the French Resistance (Maquis) and American OSS agents. The SOE agents play a dangerous game of Cat-and-Mouse with Germans: Many agents were captured, tortured, and executed by the Gestapo.. First American Edition. Cloth.
