Richmond, VA. (1928): The William Byrd Press, Inc. First Edition. Octavo. 167pp., one folding map. The author was a soldier in the war between the states. He enlisted in the Second Company of the Richmond Howitzers and participated in all the principal engagements of the Army of Northern Virginia from Seven Pines to Fredericksburg. This book is the product of the author's reminiscences, supplemented by the studty of the official records of all the principal writers on both sides. A fine copy bound in light grey cloth lettered and decorated in gilt, an errata is mounted to front pastedown.
