About This Item

Oxford, 1959. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition/Very Good. This is a detective story. It is also a contribution to the social history of Restoration England. But it has a third purpose as well: it shows by this example how historical research can smelt the truth from a lump of lies and misunderstandings. Size: Octavo (standard book size). Text body is clean, and free from previous owner annotation, underlining and highlighting. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact. Endpapers browned, text block clean. Dust Jacket is in very good condition, without tears or chips or other damage, other than foxing here and there. Dust Jacket price-clipped. Edges slightly foxed. Prominent brown marks from adhesive tape on front and rear endpapers. Quantity Available: 1. Shipped Weight: Under 1 kilogram. Category: Law & Criminal Studies; England; History. All our pictures shown here are of the actual item, not stock photos. Inventory No: 24927. .
