Camping with the prince Over-sized paperback- just good -covers are glossy interior unmarked- however there's a slight looks like coffee / tea stain on bottom edge of pages not bad there's a certain amount of minutiae on the edges of the pages just from being shelved -spine is really tight the book really doesn't appear to have been read if it all -however it's not pristine- great reading copy -fully indexed in the back subject, names, dates places with a selected biography. Nice size type pages are bright and white, unmarked. --Originally published in 1990, this book tells of Thomas Bass's two-year journey across Africa, from Timbuktu to the Zambezi River, during which he spent most of his time in the company of scientists. In this book Bass' challenging tales dispel the many stereotypes about Africa. One part science one part traveled- other parts bemused with impassioned observation.
