Book is bound in blue cloth with gilt and red lettering and decorations. This story is intended to supplement several other stories by the author. this story deals with the " wonderful upbuilding" of the " great" West immediately following the war " Civil" and in which the best of the young characters played an important role. The people in the story are real, and its events are mainly facts, thinly veiled. An interesting and collectible turn of the 20th century novel.
