Heinemann, London., 1923. First edition. Octavo. pp x, 306. Sixteen stories. The blurb quotes André Chevrillon who wrote a book called Three Studies in English Literature: Kipling, Galsworthy, Shakespeare. Time has certainly wrought a change in the reputations of Kipling and Shakespeare. On the front free endpaper is the ownership signature, dated 1929, of K.G. Maggs: could this be Kenneth Maggs of the great bookselling clan?Very good indeed in the uncommon dustwrapper which is good, chipped and creased.
