Jacket rubbed at folds with spots of silverfishing to panels and silverfish holing to flap folds, small chipsat top front-cloth bright and undamaged, internally very tight and clean. Complete with the often missing folding map + a leaflet on area attractions tipped in at rear. Scarce in any edition. Superbly written and detailed history of Cardwell Shire- Cardwell is the oldest town in Queenland north of Bowen. Among the contents are stories of gold and tin mining, the sugar industry, aborigines, all of the major early explorers (Leichhardt, Kennedy, Gregory, Cook etc), war years, Northern Seperation Movement and much more.
